Poets Track 2 of the NYC Spindys Records Warped Tour CD
The Poets are pleased to announce for anyone at the Warped Tour that ‘Staring Stars Down’ will be track number 2 on the Spindy Records Tour CD so make sure you pick up a copy!
The band have just finished the first of the new songs set for release from September onwards. The two tracks “The Making” and “Race” are being eagerly anticipated with much more studio time and songs to come over the summer. Next week the band will be in the Mourne Observer as well as putting on their youtube site more footage of the band in the US and in the studio so keep your eyes peeled for this. Our online store will also be given a make-over for the new releases with new t-shirts, posters and official Graham Smith signed prints!
On Wednesday night The Beat Poets will play in Auntie Annies with Meteor award winning band Humanzi as the tour their 2nd Album. Doors open at 9pm and admission is £7.00. Be there early as this will be a cracking gig!
THE POETS THIS SUMMER – STUDIO & GLASGOWBURY 2009!
The band is currently spending most of this summer locked away writing and recording the new material that will grace the bands new singles in the Autumn and Winter in the build up to their debut album early next year. The band is with local producing legend Neal Calderwood in Manor Park studios recording the new Material. Neal produced tracks of the Answer, FWW and General Fiasco’s first albums to name a few high flying N.Irish bands.
However the band will be taking time out to perform at the fantastic GLASGOWBURY 2009 festival which will see all the best talent in the area rock out again at the sperrin mountains with this year promising to be bigger and better than ever! Check out:
On June 6th John, Keith and Paul from the Poets visited a rainy rooftop in Dublin’s Temple Bar to perform their debut acoustic appearance on the highly successful and rising internet phemonena of Balcony Tv. Check out the lads performance of ‘The Making’ from this week on www.balconytv.ie
