Poets back live - Dublin, Waterford, Belfast, Kilarney

Its been a long summer behind the scenes for the band as they work on new tracks and finally the band are set to take to the stage for warm-up shows before their coming releases starting this November.

The band kicks off next week in Dublin and Kilarney with Belfast and Waterford the week after, below are the October shows:

9th October - The Cellar - Balbriggan
Support from: The DC experiment and One Ear

10th October - Rocktober in the INEC - Kilarney
Two day festival featuring the likes of Director and Dirty Epics

14th October - Aunt Annies - Belfast
Support from: The Q

16th October - Electric Avenue - Waterford
Local support acts

As part of the return of the Poets to the live setting the band is offering one lucky fan the chance to win two weekend passes to the ROCKTOBER fest being held at the INEC in Kilarney featuring 20 bands over two days on two stages! Acts such as Frank and Walters, Director, Gerry Fish and the Mugbug Club, Dirty Epics and Kila will be rocking this great Irish event!

DUBLIN ROCKS TOUR

Finally in the news this week we’d like to announce that the band will be part of the upcoming Dublin Rocks tour that kicks off in November 2009. The tour features The DC Experiment, Alphastates, the Spikes and Jaded Sun and there are plans for an exclusive compliation CD featuring these artists to be released as part of the tour dates (so far) which are as below, more updates on Dublin Rocks to feature over the coming weeks:

Pre-Release Shows Announced!

With the band still recording and making the final touches to the new releases which will be out from November they have decided to do a string of dates across the country to showcase their new material for the first time! These shows will feature new tracks including ‘Fire Soul’, ‘One by One’, ‘The Making’, ‘Race’ and ‘Ghosts’!

As part of the bands release warm up shows they will be playing Rocktoberfest in the INEC Kilarney with acts such as Director, Dirty Epics, The Frank and Walters and many more!

Supporting the band on selected dates will be highly tipped Cardiff band ‘ The Inner City Pirates’, Dublin bands ‘The DC Experiment’ and ‘Alphastates’ as well as Derry band ‘The Q’. The following dates to see the band before the release as they warm up for their return are.

9^th October – The Cellar – Balbriggan
10^th October – The INEC - Kilarney (Rocktoberfest!)
14^th October – Auntie Annies – Belfast
16^th October – Electric Avenue – Waterford
